Chinese insurance firms starting to invest in US real estate

Chinese insurance firms were initially prohibited from investing in US real estate but since 2012, Chinese regulations have been allowing the Chinese insurance firms to acquire US property.  A few firms have become active in doing so namely China Life and Ping An which are the two largest insurance firms.
