Volatile China stock market is a new reason for more interest of Chinese buying US housingJuly and August were very volatile months for the China stock market.  Massive losses occurred causing a major capital outflow. One of the major destinations of this capital is the US real estate market.

Many US brokerage firms are reporting a significant increase of Chinese buyers looking for US homes which they consider safe investments.  Over the last few years, Chinese have become the dominant foreign buyer of US housing - this was primarily because of education, immigration and investment reasons.
