Chinese buying mansion in Beverly Hills

The Beverly Hills home owned by Moulay Souleimane Cherkaoui, son of Princess Lalla Malika of Morocco, sold last week for $12.5 million to a family of Chinese real estate investors, based on The Real Deal.

The Mediterranean-style estate on North Beverly Drive was put on the market in December 2016 with an asking price of $14 million. The 7,020-square-foot home has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a newly remodeled kitchen with Wolf, Bosch and Sub-Zero appliances; and a walk-in pantry. The house sits on about half an acre of land and was built in 1991.

Cherkaoui and his wife had purchased the home in 2008 for $7.3 million, according to property records.
