US still top spot for rich Chinese heading overseas, with Canada coming second, report finds

According to a new report, the United States remains the No.1 target country for wealthy Chinese people who are looking to buy real estate and move overseas. The two biggest concerns for these Chinese people are depreciation of yuan and lack of information about investing overseas. This result is based on interviews with over 300 Chinese who have immigrated overseas or plan to do so.  The average wealth of them was 20 million yuan, or US$2.95 million. Their favorate countries are the US, followed by Canada and Australia. High-net-worth Chinese people are rushing to invest in the US before costs may soar. Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and New York take the top four spots in the US for Chinese people. Read more here
