Chinese investment trends in US hotel real estate

Since 2010, Chinese investment in the US real estate market has increased dramatically. Hotels has started to attract Chinese investors recently. The name of Chinese investors include Cindat Capital Management, Anbang Insurance, HNA Tourism Group, etc. Around 2.19 million Chinese visitors traveled to the US in 2014, injecting over $2.3 billion in spending. And this number is expected to grow further this year. Increasing number of Chinese individual investors use EB-5 immigration program as a method to invest in the US commercial real estate. EB-5 program has become an alternative way of financing and creating jobs in the US during the economic slowdown.
