Foreign buyers of Florida real estate

Brazilian investor Alex Carneiro invested in two Orlando houses this year.  Despite this year’s Brexit uncertainties, immigration concerns and lucrative stock market earnings, he and other international investors invested more than $2 billion in residential real estate in Orlando.

Based on a report published by the National Association of Realtors, Florida has seen 20% of its real estate sales deals done by the foreigners.  Orlando was ranked second after Miami to see international real estate investors.  Most foreign buyers are coming from Brazil, Canada, the United Kingdom and Venezuela.  Investors from Asian countries accounted for 22 percent of all Orlando real estate investments.
